AI-ADU: Building Paths to the Future Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Adult Education

Many adult education professionals want to use AI, but few know where to start. AI-ADU: Building Paths to the Future with AI supports the meaningful and responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence into adult education. The project brings together organisations from Lithuania, Cyprus, Greece and Italy to develop practical tools, training opportunities and a shared understanding of the skills educators and institutions need to navigate digital transformation with confidence.

From AI Awareness to Action
AI-ADU helps adult educators, trainers and administrative staff better understand the opportunities, limitations and responsible use of AI. Through an AI Competency Framework, blended learning programmes and practical resources, the project supports professionals in developing the knowledge and skills needed to use AI in both educational and organisational settings. At the same time, the project promotes a human-centred approach, using AI to support rather than replace people and encouraging more inclusive, flexible and learner-centred education.

Building Stronger Adult Education Organisations
AI-ADU also supports adult learning organisations in exploring how AI can improve internal processes, reduce administrative burdens, strengthen coordination and expand access to learning.
By connecting educators, institutions, administrative staff and digital specialists, the project is building a European network for knowledge exchange and long-term digital transformation.

Project Partners
AI-ADU brings together four European organisations:

Center for Social Innovation – Lithuania
Project coordinator, with expertise in adult education, social inclusion and innovative training methodologies.

DOREA Educational Institute – Cyprus
An adult education and professional development organisation specialising in lifelong learning, digital skills and innovative training.

Fondazione Arezzo Innovazione – Italy
An innovation foundation connecting education, technology, entrepreneurship and public institutions.

KINITRO AMKE – Greece

Building the Future Together
Through research, training, practical tools and European cooperation, AI-ADU aims to make Artificial Intelligence more understandable, accessible and useful for adult education professionals.

The goal is not simply to introduce new technology, but to give educators and organisations the confidence to use it thoughtfully and create meaningful, lasting change.
