disABILITY AWAREness: Labyrinth of Senses European Solidarity Corps | Individual long term Volunteering

disABILITY AWAREness: Labyrinth of Senses” is a European Solidarity Corps Individual Volunteering project that empowers young people to promote disability awareness, accessibility, diversity, and social inclusion.

Through KINITRO’s experiential and non-formal education methodologies, volunteers explore the barriers people with disabilities may face and learn how they can contribute to building a more accessible and inclusive society.

From Awareness to Action
Volunteers receive training on disability, accessibility, inclusive communication, and appropriate terminology before becoming actively involved in KINITRO’s awareness-raising activities. They support the preparation and facilitation of workshops in schools, organisations, workplaces, and community settings, helping more people understand the importance of equal participation and inclusion.

Becoming Inclusive Changemakers
Throughout their volunteering experience, participants develop skills in facilitation, communication, teamwork, leadership, creativity, and event organisation, while gaining a deeper understanding of disability rights and inclusion. The aim is for every volunteer to take this knowledge back to their own community and continue promoting a world where everyone has an equal opportunity to participate.

The project is co-financed by the European Solidarity Corps Greece of the European Commission and supported by Erasmus+ Youth Greece.
